Herbal Candies for Children

Herbal candies can be made for children as a means of having them consume the herbs. Here is a sample recipe:

Ingredients
1/4 cup peanut or almond butter
1/4 cup honey
2 Tablespoons powdered ginkgo leaf
2 Tablespoons powdered gotu kola
2 Tablespoons powdered nettles
1 Tablespoon rose hips, milky oat tops
1 Tablespoon organic raisins
Unsweetened shredded coconut

Instructions
Combine all of the ingredients, except for the coconut, with your hands. Mix until you have firm dough. Roll pieces of the dough into nickel sized balls and then individually roll each ball in shredded coconut. Store the candy in the refrigerator. Give the candy 3-4 times daily. Use one ball each time for ages six through twelve and two for children and adults over twelve.

Conclusion

Natural remedies, such as herbs, are an important part of a health plan for adults and children diagnosed with ADD. The remedies sometimes take a few weeks to reach peak effectiveness. Give them a try. In addition to relieving the ADD symptoms, these natural remedies provide healing benefits for the entire body.
