Diet For Type 2 Diabetes – Crucial Information You Must Have

The diet for Type 2 diabetes must be controlled in carbohydrates. There’s no other way to bring down the blood sugar level.

What most people don’t realize – some health practitioners as well – is that diabetes is a carbohydrate disorder. It may be socially desirable to tell Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics they can eat sugar, pastas, cereals, breads, desserts, and sweet rolls as often as before, but this is incorrect. Every diet for Type 2 diabetes must limit these foods.

How Blood Sugars Are Affected by Foods

Blood sugar levels rise after you eat a meal. If your meal is meat and low carbohydrate vegetables such as pumpkin, kale, spinach, onions, lettuce, carrots, yam, zucchini and cucumber, your blood sugar levels only rise a little bit after eating that meal.

However, once you add any of these foods – bread, pasta, chocolate pie, cakes, candies, peas, corn, potatoes, and other sweets to the meal (especially when the serving size is more than a mouthful), then you end up causing a very high blood sugar level.

If you have type 2 diabetes, your body produces very high levels of insulin to try to deal with the carbohydrates in the meal that cause a high blood sugar level. This causes erratic blood sugar levels, and if you have insulin resistance, the insulin to lower blood sugar remains in your bloodstream. It will cause fat storage for about 18 hours, preventing any type of weight loss you desire.

It’s the sugar and the wheat that are most damaging to your diet for Type 2 diabetes, although many people swear that the sugar is not harming them! Consider this a form of denial!

It’s the Genetically-Engineered Wheat

And when it comes to wheat, the data was succinctly presented in a book written by a cardiologist, William Davis, M.D. who carefully traced the development of modern-day wheat. Unfortunately, it’s been genetically-engineered and has dozens of new chromosomes that the original wheat – called einkorn – did not have. The problem is that the genetic material associated with the new chromosomes is what raises blood sugar, causes diabetes, is related to wheat intolerance, and is also linked to other diseases.
