Eczema Diet Tips For Healing Your Skin

Cleansing foods

* Whole raw fruits and vegetables aid the colon in eliminating inflammatory toxins

* Fresh juices – a cleansing blend of celery, cucumber, parsley, ginger and apples is perfect for supporting immunity and skin health

* Cultured foods such as coconut milk kefir, miso and sauerkraut support healthy digestion and toxin removal

* Psyllium husk seed can help eliminate toxins

* Brown rice or millet in place of wheat products

Skin nourishing foods

* Avocadoes are full of essential fatty acids necessary for glowing skin (you can also mash and apply directly to skin if you like)

* Fresh salmon or tuna are excellent sources of nutrients that regenerate skin tissue

* Ground, organic hemp, chia or flax seeds are good vegetarian alternatives for essential fats

Avoid these foods

* Wheat is a common allergen that can trigger symptoms

* Peanuts are also responsible for inflammatory responses in some people

* Eggs can aggravate skin disorders

* Dairy products can be hard to digest and trigger an inflammation

* Soy products may be an allergens to some people

* Processed foods can contribute to poor digestion that can cause eczema breakouts

Many of my clients have found significant improvement through small changes to their diet, including the one who would freak out over a small bump. She eliminated wheat from her diet and found vast improvements, not only in her skin condition but in other areas of her health as well.

Your skin is often the first thing people notice, especially if you’re always mindlessly scratching it. Imagine what a relief it would be to have smooth, beautiful itch-free skin. It takes a little dedication, but the results are so worth it.
