Since the causes of being overweight differ from person to person, it really is up to each individual to find the right lifestyle plan for themselves. A combination of proper nutrients, daily exercise and strategic tips can be refined to meet anyone’s needs.
* Daily exercise is better than an overly strict diet for maintaining health and controlling your weight
* Try not to lose weight too quickly as it is easily regained and this can cause damage to organs
* Cleanse / detox or fast once a month to keep your system running smoothly
* Do not chew gum as it stimulates appetite
* Avoid grocery shopping while hungry or you will come home with snack cakes and cheese doodles
Whenever I ask my clients who are overweight about their eating habits, they all swear they eat healthy foods and exercise. But when I make them keep track of their food choices for a week or two, they are often surprised at what they really ate. It’s interesting how the mind can trick us into thinking that a cheeseburger and fries equals lean protein and veggies, and that topping it off with a milkshake meets a dairy requirement.
No one really wants to watch what they eat because eating can be a very pleasurable activity. In the modern age, with the constant and massive food offerings on every corner, it is difficult to avoid indulging once in a while. However, with a few strategic tips, losing weight and staying fit doesn’t have to be impossible.
