Subacromial Bursitis – The Key Is To Decrease Inflammation

Subacromial bursitis is bursitis that occurs in the shoulder but may also radiate to the neck and surrounding area. A bursa is located in the area of the shoulder and it helps smooth out the motions of moving the arm forward and overhead. This bursa could fill up with fluid and cause inflammation in the area.

The pain from subacromial bursitis prevents a person from raising their arm forward, as if they were saying, “Hail, Hitler!”

Subacromial bursitis is caused by a number of the following:

7. Repetitive injury to the bursa from repeated movements
