Sunburn Itch – No Need To Suffer With These 10 Natural Remedies

If you have sunburn itch, you can decrease the itch with several different natural remedies. These are some of my favorite.

1. NaPCA Spray

This is a natural substance found in skin. This one is my favorite to recommend because it leaves no oily residue on the skin and won’t clog pores. NaPCA is a natural humectant found in skin, which means it attracts moisture from the air to your skin. If your goal is moist, fresh-looking skin on the sunburned area, this will do it, while sealing in the moisture. Sunburn itch won’t be so itchy when you use NaPCA spray on it.

2. Vitamin E oil or cream

There’s a lot of controversy about using vitamin E oil for scars or any skin disorder, but what people are forgetting is that vitamin E oil or cream will be loaded with an incredible antioxidant that heals skin. Whether it’s sunburn itch or other skin disorders, I recommend you try it. Simply pierce a capsule of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) and rub it into the areas that are itching.

3. Cocoa butter

Cocoa butter is the oil from the cocoa bean. It does not contain any caffeine or caffeine-like compounds. Because it’s such a stable fat, it’s perfect for creams and lotions. For centuries, people used cocoa butter for any time their skin was dry and/or itchy, including sunburn itch. Cocoa butter is easy to apply – simply open the jar and dip in to get a bit to spread on the affected skin.

4. Naturally made soaps

Soaps made with sheep milk, goat milk, and camel milk are very healing to the skin. Many of them may also add ingredients such as oatmeal, pumpkin, or essential oils that are soothing to irritated skin, such as that from sunburn itch.

5. Lanolin creams

Lanolin is the natural emollient that comes from wool. It’s quite luxurious to the skin and is pretty much guaranteed to keep the moisture in your skin. Perfect for sunburn itch.
