Healing Support For Tuberculosis Treatment

Healing Environment

When healing from any illness, it is crucial to reduce stress, get plenty of rest and minimize depleting activities or people from your life. Make your world cozy and safe during this time to let your body replenish itself and to keep others from being exposed, if possible.

* Retreat – stay home from work or school while you are contagious and arrange for private sleeping quarters

* Purify – properly ventilate your home by opening windows and using a fan to blow stale, indoor air out; spritz essential oils (see below) to freshen air and kill bacteria

* Contain – cover your mouth or nose with a tissue whenever you cough or sneeze; dispose of the tissue promptly and wash your hands often

* Relax – take time for naps when you need them and create a quiet, restful environment at night; the best healing happens during sleep

* Connect – the psychological effects of dealing with an illness can make you feel isolated; keep up your connection with family and friends and return to your normal social engagements as soon as you are not contagious

Essential Oil Treatment

Known for their purifying and immune boosting properties, these concentrated plant extracts are powerful healers. Mix the following therapeutic-grade essential oils in a 1oz bottle of almond oil and apply to chest and back twice daily for best results.

* Cajeput – 3 drops
* Cedarwood – 8 drops
* Cypress – 5 drops
* Eucalyptus – 8 drops
* Peppermint – 3 drops
* Rosemary – 5 drops

Although these healing remedies may be powerful, it is very important that you finish the complete course of antibiotics, to ensure a full recovery. Since the treatment can be a long process, it may be wise to enlist the help of a health care professional to administer your treatment.

Supporting your immune system is the best way to fight any kind of infection, and your body will also need extra care to heal from this disease. Alternative therapies are wonderful, but not always the best first choice. There is a place for drugs and surgeries in this world, and a case of tuberculosis is definitely best handled by a doctor, while being supported by nutrition and proper self-care.
