4 Natural Cures For Herpes – Remedies To Help Your Body Knock The Virus Out

Propolis

Propolis is made by bees and is an effective natural cure for herpes. In a 2000 study published in the journal of Phytomedicine, propolis was found to be a very effective ointment for the herpes virus. The study looked at participants with HSV-2 and it compared the effectiveness of three different types of ointment, with one being propolis. The propolis ointment was rubbed four times a day on the affected area for the duration of 10 days.

After ten days, among the participants using propolis, 24 out 30 people were cured of the herpes virus. In the other two groups, under half experienced improvement or cure of their condition.

You can get propolis extract from health shops and you should apply it directly on top of the affected area around four times a day.

Zinc

Zinc is a vital mineral for the human body but it is, like lysine, not produced by the body and thus needs to be taken externally. A Just Herpes article from 2013 says that zinc is a great natural cure for herpes because it can effectively boost the immune system and help it fight the virus. Zinc has an important task of helping the body produce lymphocyte cells that can effectively suppress the development of herpes. The article also reports of studies that have found that zinc “can deactivate the herpes virus and can inhibit the virus’ reproduction”.

You can either use zinc as a topical ointment or you can consume it. For the latter, you can either take it in supplement form or through foods – both internal and external uses can contribute to being a good natural cure for herpes. Foods rich in zinc include beef, oysters, avocado and garlic.
