Did you know that the FDA limits how much caffeine can go into soft drinks? The limit is 71 mg in a 12 oz. beverage size portion.


The men’s heart rates were unaffected by caffeine, indicating that caffeine doesn’t make the heart race or specifically cause arrhythmias.

Interestingly, the researchers found that the men’s blood pressure did not return to lower levels after working out.


It’s nice to know about some of the research on caffeine and hypertension, but the bottom line is what does your caffeine intake do to you? Do you know the limits of what you can do and how much you can consume before it starts affecting you negatively? Knowing your relationship between caffeine and hypertension is really what counts.
