Herbal Nausea Treatment – Herbs For Effective Relief

While no drug interactions have been reported, check with your health care provider prior to consuming therapeutic amounts of ginger on a regular basis if you take blood thinners. Discuss the use of ginger with your health care practitioner if you have gallstones prior to using therapeutic amounts.

In addition to relieving nausea, ginger offers diverse health benefits to the entire body. It is especially beneficial for cardiovascular health and respiratory health. It is also used to relieve discomfort due to menstrual cramps and musculoskeletal issues.


Tea to Relieve Nausea

Try this tea the next time someone in your household is nauseated. It is quite concentrated, just in case you can’t keep alot of fluids down initially. If nausea is severe, simply take a spoonful of tea, or less, every fifteen minutes until you can tolerate more. Once you can tolerate more, drink one fourth of a cup or more every half hour to prevent further nausea and dehydration.

Marshmallow root has a thick constancy which soothes the stomach. Chamomile relieves nausea. Fennel prevents gas and relaxes spasms which result in nausea and vomiting. Fennel has a pleasant anise flavor.

Ingredients
* 4 teaspoons fresh ginger root or 2 teaspoons dried
* 3 teaspoons fresh or dried chamomile flowers
* 2 teaspoons dried marshmallow root
* 1 teaspoon fennel seed
* 1 quart water

Instructions
Place the herbs in pot or jar. In a separate pan, bring the water to a boil. Pour the water over the herbal blend. Place a cover on the container. After twenty minutes, strain out the herbs. Drink the remaining tea as directed above. You may consume it at whatever temperature agrees with you.
