Herbal Yeast Infection Cures And Prevention Remedies

To Use

For prevention of yeast infections, take one half of a teaspoonful twice daily.
If you have a yeast infection, take one teaspoonful four times daily until symptoms are completely gone. At that point, continue taking the remedy for preventative purposes. Take the tincture in a little bit of water, tea, or juice.

The Garlic Suppository

If you have a yeast infection, you can carefully peel one clove of fresh garlic. Be sure that you do not crush it or cut into it at all. Wrap the clove in a small cotton cloth. Leave a tail like a tampon on it. Apply sterile lubricating gel to the outside of the cloth. Insert the garlic suppository into the vagina. Change it at least twice daily until the infection is gone.

Douching to Relieve Yeast Infections

If you have a yeast infection accompanied by a lot of drainage, you may want to try an herbal douche to promote cleanliness, reduce odor, and relieve discomfort. Only douche if symptoms are present. Do not use the douche to prevent a yeast infection.

Simmer two tablespoonfuls of black walnut husks and one tablespoonful of calendula flowers, fresh or dried, in one quart of water for twenty minutes. Keep the lid on the pan while it is simmering. Strain out the herbs and compost them. Let the herbal liquid cool down. It will be a dark color. That is normal. Add two tablespoonfuls of apple cider vinegar. If you have an acidophilus capsule, add that as well. Add one drop of tea tree oil. Stir and use the solution as a douche. You may use douche daily until the drainage is lessoned. Use this in addition to the oral tincture remedy.

The water is cleansing. Vinegar sooths and cleans inflamed tissues and reduces odors. It corrects the pH balance in the vagina, inhibiting the growth of yeast. Black walnut destroys yeasts. Calendula is soothing and keeps the yeasts from multiplying. Acidophilus curtails the growth of yeast. Tea tree inhibits yeast growth and relieves discomfort.

The douche is only for adult women. It should not be used during pregnancy.

Use these herbal remedies as part of a holistic treatment plan to prevent yeast infections. You will have them less often and your symptoms will be relieved quickly.
