Why We Should All Be Eating A Diet Of Natural Whole Foods

In addition, we process our foods in various ways, adding harmful artificial chemical additives, flavorings, colorings, preservations, fillers, etc. Thus, not only have we reduced the quality and amount of nutrition we are getting, we have increased our intake of harmful substances.

Earlier, I had mentioned that people living in less developed areas who consume whole food diets containing large amounts of natural whole foods are much less likely to get the serious degenerative diseases which we often do.

Now, let us consider what goes on in nature – I usually find that that is a good indication of what would be good lifestyle and dietary habits for human beings.

Animals in the wild only consume natural whole foods which grow on trees or from the ground. In other words, you could say that they are on whole food diets. And, not surprisingly at all, they, too, do not get cancer, heart disease, obesity or other chronic conditions.

But, on the other hand, domesticated animals and those which live in zoos, which are fed the refined and processed foods which humans eat, instead of the whole food diet eaten by their wild counterparts, also develop the same serious illnesses which we get.

Whether or not one believes in God, the fact of the matter is, natural whole foods have been placed on Earth and we have been consuming such foods for probably thousands of years. Only in the past couple of centuries have we begun introducing to our diet refined and processed foods which are pretty much devoid of nutrients.

And, the truth is, the human body is just not adapted to such a diet, and this is one of the direct causes of the scarily escalating rates of killer diseases in the first world today.

A good way to help reverse these trends and to bring better nutrition to our bodies is to consume a large variety of natural, organic whole foods. Convert to a mainly whole food diet, and I am certain you will feel the difference in your health.
