Free Juicing Recipes For Anti-Inflammation, The Prostate And Emotional Stability

When you’re looking for free juicing recipes, consider the source. Does the author of the recipe have an extensive background in natural healing and the therapeutic use of juices, or is the author someone who juices as a hobby?

If you’re looking for tasty recipes, someone who juices as a hobby or a chef would be authors good enough to meet your needs. But if you are in a situation where you want to improve your health, don’t settle for advice from someone who doesn’t recommend juices to their patients frequently.

What Happens If Decisions are Made with Little Knowledge

Here’s an example to illustrate the point. Sandy and Bill were concerned about Bill’s stay in the hospital after a bout of gout and infection in the knee. He has been a long time diabetic, one who hasn’t had good blood sugar control over the years.

They found out quite early in his stay that hospital food isn’t exactly life-giving and certainly doesn’t have disease reversal properties. This is an excellent realization and the awareness propelled them to take action.

They began speaking with a woman from church who had a hobby of reading about health and juiced infrequently. She recommended free juicing recipes from her limited experience -– tasty juices with apple and other fruits in them, and even did the work of juicing for them. He gained three pounds overnight when starting to drink her juice.

One might think that preparing the juice was a kind thing to do, and certainly the thought matters. However, the last thing a diabetic needs is juice high in carbohydrates, no matter how tasty it is. Taste should be a secondary concern for juices. That’s not to say that you should make juices that taste badly but rather to first consider the person who is getting the juice. The woman was naive about the therapeutic goals of juicing, and her ‘kindness’ could have ended up killing this man. The blood sugar rise could be deadly to a diabetic.

This situation gives us all a clue as to the importance of the habit of always learning about what you are doing, especially when it comes to health. Nutritional decisions are not simple ones when a person has disease. However, what is simple is the process of healing when the right juices are selected.

Here are some of my most recommended juices to patients.

Pumpkin Power to Relieve Inflammation

Pumpkin has a low Glycemic Index and offers high levels of beta-carotene that can easily exceed that found in the same amount of carrots. Its juice is bland so you need to add vegetables and fruits to the drink that will add flavor.

In this juice, you’ll have plenty of flavor. The three green vegetables, along with the pumpkin, counter the carbohydrate content of this drink provided by the low Glycemic Index fruits. This juice is great for the kidneys, and for inflammation.

Ingredients
Four 1” wide x 8” long strips of fresh pumpkin, sliced, and with skin on (but washed)
2 apples
1/2 pound cranberries
3 large handfuls spinach
1 large handful parsley
4 ribs celery
1/2 lemon

Directions
Juice all ingredients together.
