Overcoming Liver Disease With A Fatty Liver Diet

Overcoming Diabetes and Weight Gain

The next principle to keep in mind is to eliminate the insulin resistance found in weight gain and diabetes (Type 2). The excess sugar in the blood is the damaging factor to the liver as it does damage to any organ it comes in contact with.

Sugars in your diet play a big role in insulin resistance. In fact, high fructose corn syrup has been linked with fatty liver as well as diabetes and metabolic syndrome so avoid it at all costs. Check the labels of your foods. If a food contains this sugar, make a decision: do you want your drink or food and fatty liver more than you want your health?

Losing 10% of your body weight is often enough to start the healing process and transform your health. As the weight comes off, the diseases go away.

Eat the Right Fats

Many people don’t know what goes on in medical studies but the fact is that if scientists want to induce a fatty liver in animals, they will first select animals prone to develop the condition and next feed them high amounts of polyunsaturated fats.

I was reading one such study today where they fed rats canola oil. This should set off red flags in your mind about the connection of the fats in the diet to the production of fatty liver. Contrary to what many doctors tell you, it’s the saturated fats that protect you, not the polyunsaturated fats found in vegetable and seed oils. Remove all fats from your diet except for butter, olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, avocado, and animal fats.

You can make a big difference in your health by following a fatty liver diet whether or not you have fatty liver disease. Follow these simple changes for 60 days; it could transform your diagnosis – and prognosis of fatty liver disease.
