Passing Kidney Stones Naturally With Home Remedies

If you are suffering from irritation of the urinary tract, you may find significant improvement after drinking a single cup of tea. If you have a kidney stone, drink as much corn silk tea as you desire throughout the entire day. Add a little ginger for additional relief of discomfort.

You may place fresh corn silk in a jar and cover it by one inch with apple cider vinegar. If using the vinegar, discard the corn silk after a couple of weeks. Keep the remaining corn silk extract on hand to promote urinary health. Use 1/4 teaspoonful 3 to 4 times daily to enhance urinary tract health. If you have a kidney stone, take 1/2 teaspoonful every two hours until the stone passes and then 1/2 teaspoonful 4 times daily for one week. Dilute the extract in cranberry juice or water.

Corn silk soothes the pain from kidney stones and urinary tract infections. Like cranberry, corn silk prevents microbes from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract. It is one of the fastest acting gentle remedies of any kind that I know of.

Additional Home Remedies for Kidney Stones

Eat lots of blueberries. They act in ways similar to cranberries. Blueberries are full of antioxidants and other compounds which promote healing.

Consume foods that contain potassium. Bananas, dandelion greens, freshly steamed young nettles, and broths made from a variety of vegetable trimmings are excellent sources of potassium.

Drink a minimum of twelve cups of fluid daily for kidney stone prevention. When you have a kidney stone, consume lots of fluids. All of the above suggestions are safe for pregnant women.

Try placing a hot water bottle directly over the area that you are experiencing pain. It can provide soothing relief and dilate tissues to hasten stone removal. Do not do this if you are pregnant without consulting your health care provider first.

If pain is severe or not resolving quickly with home remedies, seek medical attention. Further treatment and pain management strategies may be needed.
