Simple And Effective Home Remedies For Gout

Castor Oil Packs

Although castor oil can produce some nasty effects when taken internally, using it in a soothing compress can have healing effects for the whole body. Studies suggest that castor oil packs increase the lymphatic system’s ability to remove toxins and reduce inflammation. Use for flare-ups or once monthly to support uric acid removal.

* gently warm castor oil in a pan with a 1” piece of fresh, grated gingerroot(do not boil)

* dip 2 pieces of clean cheesecloth, flannel or cotton material into oil until saturated

* wrap each foot with a cloth and cover with plastic wrap

* cover with heating pad for up to twenty minutes

* repeat every hour as needed

While you let the castor oil do its work, you will need to rest quietly. Take this chance to slow down and lie on the floor with your feet up the wall to support circulation and toxin removal.

Mother Knows Best

It seems that there is nothing that a little raw apple cider vinegar can’t do. I suggest it to my clients for a variety of issues because it contains a “mother culture” that has been used as a healing tonic for centuries. This natural medicinal food is full of vitamins, amino acids, and digestive enzymes that your body needs when it’s healing, so that your systems have the compounds needed to eliminate toxins.

* Fill an 8 oz cup with warm water

* Add 4 oz raw apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon baking soda

* Stir and drink

* Use two to three times per day as needed

Because of its alkaline nature, the baking soda works to eliminate the uric acid built up in the system and aids the vinegar in eliminating toxins.

These natural home remedies may seem simple, but used together they can have a powerful, cumulative healing effect. I always tell my clients that the effort that they invest in their well-being now will be returned to them down the line. Take care of your feet, so they can take you everywhere.
