6 Important Areas Of An Anti Aging Diet

3. How often do you eat sugar?

Sugar is the ultimate free radical because of all the oxygen molecules it contains. Those who eat the most sugar age the fastest. If you’re planning your own anti aging diet, leave sugar out of it.

4. How many cabinets are filled with processed foods?

Processed foods have very few nutrients in them, and the ones they do contain are generally not the ones that are naturally-occurring in foods; they are synthetic.

Notice how those classmates who love processed foods have aged dramatically.

5. When you cook, do you use margarine, vegetable oil, olive oil, or coconut oil?

Besides sugar acting as the ultimate free radical capable of causing aging effects on your skin, oxidized fats from hydrogenated fats (margarine) and vegetable oil will contribute to rapid aging. These oxidized fats produce ALEs, advanced lipoxidation endproducts, which are toxic to your cells and cause tissue damage related to aging. Studies show that low levels of ALEs are related to longevity.

ALEs clearly accumulate in those who are aging, and by reducing your consumption of vegetable oil, margarine, soy oil, canola oil and other oils, you can decrease the ALEs in your body that stimulate aging. Use only clarified butter, coconut oil, or olive oil as part of your anti aging diet to reduce ALE levels.

6. Do you eat past the point of satisfaction or stop eating before you are full?

Those smorgasbord restaurants should not ever be part of your anti aging diet unless you can refrain from overeating! Overeating creates overweight bodies that then become obese. Excess fat is not inert in the body; it produces hormones that decrease your longevity.

Under-eating is related to longevity and a decrease of 40-50% of your calories for the day goes a long way to extending the life of your cells. Similarly, fasting a day a week is also beneficial. Observe your classmates – who is an overeater? What health problems are they faced with? Who is an under-eater? What health problems are they faced with?

You’ll quickly see from your little experiment that there really are strong correlations between what a person eats (anti aging diet) and how long they will live.
