Your Living Environment and Lifestyle Habits

Keep your home clean. Ensure that molds and mildew have no opportunity to grow. Buy a high quality vacuum cleaner with an excellent air filtration system. Change filters in heating and air conditioning systems regularly. If possible, replace carpet with hard flooring. While most of the time, fresh air is excellent, during seasons when pollen levels are elevated, you may need to keep your windows closed.

Use personal care and cleaning products that are made with simple natural ingredients. Avoid the use of products which are highly scented. Borax, washing soda, and citric acid are all effective cleaners which are non toxic, inexpensive and readily available at local chain stores.

Observe your work environment. Ink toners, cleaning supplies, and other chemicals may be present in the workplace. Ask co- workers to limit the wearing of fragrances in your presence if you are sensitive to chemicals and fragrance. If co workers are not receptive, speak with your employer. Workplaces are becoming increasingly fragrance free.

Do not smoke. Avoid places where others smoke.

Learn relaxation or meditation techniques. Make having fun a priority. Multiple studies indicate that the health of the immune system is directly influenced by mood, stress, and pleasure.

Participate in a regular exercise program. Exercise offers a multitude of benefits. Your respiratory tract will be strengthened. Tissue stagnation will be reduced. Your immune system and digestive tract will function better. Exercise helps your body eliminate natural and environmental toxins better.

Relieving Allergies Naturally

It takes time and commitment to improve your body’s ability to be less sensitive to allergens. Despite a multitude of commercial advertisements, there is no instant “cure”. Most drugs simply mask symptoms. While relieving symptoms is comforting, some experts believe that constantly masking the body’s natural responses to allergens results in driving the allergic response “deeper”. Many experts believe that there is a link between auto immune disorders and allergies.

These natural actions which you can implement are aimed at correcting imbalances within the body and assisting your body to heal itself rather than overriding the body’s natural responses. Because these interventions are aimed at restoring your entire body to wellness, results may take time to be visible. Persevere, and you will become healthier than you have been for a long time and you will have fewer allergic reactions. You will become truly well.
