Natural Treatment For Bipolar Disorder – Try These Remedies
|
To invigorate and inspire – Exhale deeply by pushing out all of your breath with your abdominal muscles, allow air to flow in on the inhale and quickly push air out again. Repeat for up to one minute.
Breathing exercises are a great way to promote instant calm and a sense of well-being. I encourage you to practice them when you’re not feeling anxious so that you can call on them when you need them.
Balance and Harmonize
Treating the symptoms for two sets of moods or behaviors does not have to be difficult. I have found that consistent use of essential oils or flower essences can be extremely useful in promoting balance, and generally getting you out of a funk. Determine whether you need to balance too much energy, or give yourself a boost and choose between the following essential oils and flower essences.
Essential oils – choose two or three and blend a few drops of each together in lotion or oil
* To lessen depression and fatigue – bergamot, frankincense, geranium, jasmine, lemon, neroli, roman chamomile, rose
* To produce balance and calm – cedarwood, clary sage, juniper, lavender, patchouli, sandalwood, ylang ylang
Therapeutic grade essential oils help your body to shift on emotional and psychological levels, plus they smell amazing!
Flower Essences – choose 3-4 and mix 4 drops of each in a glass of water
* To promote a brighter outlook – Gorse, Star of Bethlehem, Mustard, Sweet Chestnut
* To keep things real – Scleranthus, Clematis, Vervain and Centaury
These remedies are homeopathic and easy to use while working behind the scenes to keep moods in check!
Although managing bipolar symptoms can be very challenging, sometimes a small change can make a big difference. You will find that you need different combinations of the above therapies at different times, so be willing to change up your remedies from time to time to maintain balance and wellness.
