5 Key Pointers Of An Osteoporosis Diet

3. Bone Soup

Making soup with a big soup bone and plenty of vegetables is a good way to transfer some of the important bone minerals from the bone into your soup. Every osteoporosis diet should have bone soup in it! I always recommend that osteoporosis patients eat a big bowl of bone soup at least three times a week.

4. Fresh Vegetable Juices

The best way to get more nutrients into your diet is with fresh vegetable juices. Some of the most helpful foods to juice for those on an osteoporosis diet include carrots, Swiss chard, dandelion greens, parsley, spinach, and kale. By juicing, you can consume more vegetables than you could by eating them.

5. Balanced Nutrients

If you don’t have enough calcium, you won’t be able to build bone. But if you don’t have enough strontium, you won’t be able to break down bad bone (old bone that needs to be replaced).

There are more than 10 nutrients that are important for proper bone development. Some of them include vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, strontium, zinc, boron, lead, and aluminum. Do you have all of them?

Have you ever heard of people who don’t seem to heal broken bones? They end up having what’s called a non-healing fracture, and months go by without them ever healing. This occurs because they are missing some important nutrients for mending a broken bone. Your osteoporosis diet must include all nutrients.
