You can see by these menus that it really is quite easy to eat a diet that cleanses the colon. Snacks could easily be a glass of juice with a tablespoon of psyllium added to it or even slippery elm lozenges, 2 small plums, an apple, or a pear.

Once you have the knowledge of what types of foods will help move the bowels, you can make good choices from then on. This way you’re building your own colon cleanse diet.

There is something else to remember. Your body may react differently to foods than another person, even in your own family. Keep a list of foods that seem to get your bowels moving properly and/or maintain them working optimally. Don’t be afraid to experiment with new foods and add to or change your list as time goes on. Digestive tracts act differently at different times in life.

Now go have your first meal on your new colon cleanse diet!
