Guided Meditation Script For Total Body Relaxation

Embrace your hips with your awareness. Allow your breath to fill the pelvic area with light and energy, chasing tension and emotional stress from the lower abdomen. Feel your hips release held energy and see how they connect your upper and lower body with silent appreciation…

Now move your attention to your stomach area, filling the area below your ribs with your breath and allowing pent up tension to release completely as you exhale… do this several times.

Fill up your lungs and heart area with love, light and breath. Imagine these organs radiating beautiful energy to the rest of your body, and thank them for working so hard for you every day. Spend several breaths just listening to the movement of the heart and lungs…

Send healing energy from your chest area to your arms and hands, letting light emanate from your fingertips. Acknowledge how you depend on your hands to guide you through the world…

Relax your neck, shoulders and back, breathe deeply and feel the support of the floor beneath you. Know that you are supported in this way in all that you do…

Soften your forehead, the inner corners of your eyes, your scalp, ears and tongue. Rest your mind as it lies cradled in your head and know that you can just be still…

Let your body rest completely as you send healing warmth to all areas of your body, allowing your energy to fill up an imaginary balloon all around you with golden, healing light…

Slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and then gently open your eyes and take a minute to fully awaken. Sit up slowly and just breathe for a moment before you stand up…

Gently resume your normal daily activities intending to carry this relaxed state of being into the rest of your day. Being able to listen to a progressive meditation can also keep you interested in your practice long enough to reap some substantial benefits. Instead of only having your breath or a focus object for your attention, a guided meditation script is often easier to stick with, especially for beginners.
