Natural Healing Remedies For Hot Flashes

Essential Oils

One of the best tools I can offer my clients who are going through menopause is the healing power of essential oils. These aromatic remedies work on the physical and emotional issues that are at the root of hot flashes, such as emotional stress, detox issues and hormone balance.

* Bergamot – 5 drops
* Clary sage – 3 drops
* Fennel – 5 drops
* Geranium – 3 drops
* Palmarosa – 2 drops

Mix and store in a 15ml euro-dropper bottle filled with almond oil. Apply over lower abdomen, ankles twice daily. Therapeutic-grade essential oils not only smell delicious, but also deliver a medicinal effect that is both safe and effective.

Flower Essences

If you ever wished that you could have a magic healing potion in your purse at all times, then flower essences are for you. They differ from essential oils in that they work on an energetic level more than a physical one. By working on the subtle emotional and spiritual levels, inner beliefs turn into outer changes in behavior.

* Black Cohosh – strong emotional tension related to bodily changes during menopause
* Echinacea – experiencing menopause as traumatic and disruptive
* Lavender – soothing and calming to frayed nerves
* Olive – relieves extreme or chronic exhaustion
* Scarlet Monkeyflower – intense feelings that manifest as rage or heat in the body
* Self-Heal – resistance to menopause, seeing it as an illness rather than stage of life

Mix 4 drops of each in a 1oz dropper bottle and top off with fresh spring water. Take 6-10 drops in a glass of water and drink three or more times per day. Observe the emotional and psychological issues that come up for you, and let them inform you of how to take better care of yourself.

Think about it. If you never fill up your own tank and always make others a priority, sooner or later you will run…out…of…energy. I am giving you the permission to take the time to fill up your physical and emotional reserves so you will have plenty to share with those you love with a gentle glow rather than in a hot flash.
