Pain In Back Of Knee – Natural Remedy That Could Work In Weeks

Natural treatments may include ultrasound or electrical myography, alignment of the knee if there has been a dislocation, and correcting any muscle imbalances that may have contributed to the pain in the back of the knee to begin with.

Total support of one’s nutritional needs so that all the nutrients that participate in healing are provided. This way the body heals itself. For example, one of the most healing nutrients I’ve used with patients for several years is diatomaceous earth (food grade). All connective tissues in the body need silica to become strong; yet this element is not found in high amounts in the diet anymore.

Thus, in many cases, once the silica is provided, there is rapid restoration of the tissues. Even those with severe cases of arthritis comment that there has been a rapid decrease in the pain they are suffering within a few weeks to a month. The dosage I’ve used is one heaping tablespoon twice daily, mixed into a protein shake, glass of juice, milk or water.

Other natural health practitioners use MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) or Chondroitin sulfate to add to a patient’s current protocol of supplements taken daily. The sulfur in MSM is what is thought to be healing to the joint tissues. One study showed improvements in knee function and in pain relief when 1.124 grams MSM was consumed three times daily for 12 weeks.

Chondroitin sulfate / glucosamine is naturally found in the joints and when it is added as a supplement at the level of 1200 mg per day for six months, there’s a considerable improvement in function and pain relief.
