Liver Regeneration – It Really Is Possible

Liver Regeneration – It Really Is Possible

2. Probiotics

To help your liver regeneration efforts proceed in a positive direction, include some healthy probiotics in your diet daily. There are two ways you can do this – by supplements and by foods.

Kefir, yoghurt and sauerkraut are full of live friendly bacteria which boost the immune system. The bacteria live in your intestinal tract and contribute to immunity by reproducing in number. These good bacteria can then easily outnumber the bad bacteria, thus helping boost your immunity by keeping the bad bacteria in check. Probiotics also help the liver by aiding its use of glutathione, essentially helping with its rebuilding (liver regeneration) versus fighting the free radicals.

3. Dandelion Root

Any food, nutrient or supplement that can reduce your liver’s workload is always a positive. Dandelion root is a tremendous contributor to liver regeneration because it increases the production of bile, thereby reducing your liver’s workload.

4. Vitamin A

Most commonly found in whole milk and liver, Vitamin A is an antioxidant. Beta-carotene is a pro-vitamin that is abundant in carrots and many colorful vegetables, and the body converts beta-carotene to vitamin A. While you’re doing what you can to assist liver regeneration, don’t do things to use up that vitamin A in the body. For example, free radicals use up vitamin A. Free radicals can damage DNA, and damaged DNA in an organ is a setup for cancer and other diseases. Vitamin A also has natural anti-inflammatory properties, so do what you can to protect it.

5. Licorice

Glycyrrhizin is one of the active ingredients in licorice. Did you know that glycyrrhizin is considered a powerful anti-SARS virus agent compound? It also stimulates the regeneration of liver mass and function after removal of part of the liver.

While liver regeneration is something that occurs automatically in our body without our control, we always need to do everything we can to ensure that it occurs. By providing the right environment in the body to make it more likely to happen, we can tip the scales in our favor towards liver regeneration. Natural foods, vitamins and supplements work with your body, unlike chemicals and medications that alter body biochemistry sometimes so much to the point that natural liver regeneration becomes impossible to occur. Your body has a natural drive to be healthy, to survive, and thrive. Consider using herbs such as licorice for your expedient recovery.
